PREVOST CONSTRUCTION COMPLETES TENANT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FOR FUSE FITNESS

CARLSBAD, Calif. - Prevost Construction has completed a $950,000 customized tenant improvement project for Carlsbad's newest state-of-the-art fitness facility, Fuse Fitness, located at 2502 El Camino Real near Plaza Camino Real.

In just three months, Prevost Construction transformed the 16,144-square-foot space from a Good Guys retail store into the brand new fitness center. All retail store interior systems were demolished and new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were design-built for the Fuse Fitness business model. This included infrastructure for the new cardio room, hydro massage, tanning rooms and locker rooms.

"Our commitment to our customers is to provide a quality place to work out that not only includes top-of-the-line equipment but that is easy to use and enjoy," said Kris Peterson, manager of Fuse Fitness. "Prevost Construction did an outstanding job of not only meeting our expectations throughout the construction process but exceeding them--addressing all of our needs on time and on budget."

Designed by Schultz Architecture, Carlsbad is the first location of Fuse Fitness, a membership-based, full-service facility complete with cardio, strength equipment, free weights, hydro massage beds, tanning beds and locker rooms. Fuse Fitness provides memberships starting at just $14 per month.

The Prevost team included Steve George as the project manager, Matty Stuppiello as superintendent and Michelle Walkup as project engineer.

Finishing touches were completed by subcontractors: Pacific Commercial Systems (drywall), Sunstate Tile (tile), Heartland (acoustical), Pacific Coast Commercial Flooring (flooring), Quality Painting (paint), Spooners (millwork), KMP (plumbing), Control Air (HVAC) and PCF Electric (electrical).
