Prevost Construction recently completed a building conversion and customized tenant improvement project for Jade Theater, an
Asian-inspired restaurant and nightclub located near the Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego.
Prevost's scope of work included structural upgrades from its previous office use to restaurant use, custom fabricated stainless
steel and glass handrails along the staircase and upper balconies, and hard surface tile flooring mixed with carpet and wood
flooring accenting the Asian design. Extensive plumbing and mechanical upgrades included upsizing the gas service to provide
for the new kitchen equipment, new electrical distribution and high-end lighting featuring 22 different types of light fixtures. A full
kitchen with 16 gas burners, steam tables, prep sinks and full refrigeration units were built on the main floor. The basement level
features a full bar, DJ booth, freezer rooms, along with new men's and women's restrooms with a large unisex vanity washroom area.

Contract Amount to Date: $1.5 Million
Project Size: 14,000 SF
Type: Restaurant/nightclub

"The Jade Theater owners had a vision to create an
environment that would exemplify the character and
beauty of the Asian influence to the highest level. Our
team managed every aspect of the construction and
project management process to ensure that every detail
was carefully attended to."
