Prevost Construction completed several projects for Guidant Corporation in 1998. After being awarded the contract for the computer room project, Guidant continued to utilize the services of the Prevost project team to complete over one million dollars in tenant improvements on various projects. The 3,000 SF computer room renovation featured an RF shielded environment with a pre-action fire suppression system, emergency generators, redundant HVAC cooling systems, and raised access flooring. A seismic retrofit of three buildings was performed simultaneously which required installation of seismic hardware in occupied areas and extensive field coordination of the structural engineer interpretations of the existing conditions.
